MedFringe isn’t just a festival—it’s a declaration.
It started with a spark: a vision pitched by Spotlites Theatre director Kieron Riddell. He asked a simple question: What if Medway had a stage for its own? The response was immediate and overwhelming. In the blink of an eye, over 25 key Medway stakeholders rallied behind the idea, united by a shared belief that our region is a powerhouse of untapped potential.
Our Mission
We are here to be the creative hub that Medway has been waiting for. We are not interested in the status quo; we are here to celebrate the bold, the experimental, and the up-and-coming.
Our core focus is homegrown talent. We believe the most exciting stories are being written, performed, and directed right here on our doorstep. Whether it’s raw, debut theater or avant-garde performance art, MedFringe is the place where those voices get amplified.
